The SIOL M12A-16 IO-Link Hub is a self-adaptive digital I/O module designed to expand the number of digital input and output channels in IO-Link automation systems. By aggregating 16 inputs and 16 outputs into a single IO-Link communication interface, the hub simplifies field wiring and enables centralized control of multiple devices.

Digital inputs and outputs are provided via M12 5-pin connectors, supporting standard industrial digital sensors, switches, and low-power actuators. The hub operates according to IO-Link V1.1 and uses a Class A interface with M12 A-coded connectors, ensuring seamless compatibility with standard IO-Link masters.

A shared power supply architecture powers both the hub and connected loads, reducing wiring complexity. The module is constructed with a fiberglass reinforced housing and fully potted electronics to protect against vibration, shock, dust, and moisture, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.

Typical applications include machine automation, production lines, and distributed sensor/actuator networks where multiple digital signals need to be efficiently integrated into an IO-Link system.
