The CW Hydraulic Dead Weight Tester is a primary pressure standard designed for high-accuracy calibration of pressure gauges, transmitters, and sensors in calibration laboratories and industrial metrology.
Operating on the fundamental force-over-area (F/A) principle, calibrated masses applied to a free-rotating piston-cylinder system generate a precisely defined pressure at the test port. The piston and cylinder are manufactured from tungsten carbide, offering extremely low pressure and temperature expansion coefficients, resulting in excellent effective area linearity and long-term accuracy.
The piston system features an anti-friction, anti-sticking structure, replacing traditional limit screws with bearings to prevent metal debris and piston seizure. Its modular design allows the piston assembly to be calibrated independently, significantly reducing maintenance cost and downtime.
The hydraulic base includes a 500 ml oil reservoir, optional filtration to protect the pressure circuit, and a visual light indicator that signals correct piston floating position to prevent overload. A 5-inch touchscreen displays key operating parameters such as ambient temperature, humidity, piston speed, and floating position, supporting safe and controlled calibration workflows.
