CIOL-PT12-SC IO-Link Converter
IO-Link RTD input converter
Single-channel Pt100, 2/3/4-wire
Measuring range −200…600 °C
Accuracy ±0.5 °C
IO-Link V1.1, Class A interface
M12 connectors, LED status indication
The CIOL-PT12-SC converts a Pt100 resistance thermometer into a digital IO-Link signal. It allows a standard RTD to be connected directly to an IO-Link master, without an intermediate transmitter and without shielded analog cabling back to the control cabinet.
The input accepts Pt100 sensors in 2-, 3- and 4-wire connection and covers a measuring range of −200 to 600 °C with an accuracy of ±0.5 °C. The temperature value is transmitted as IO-Link process data with 2 input bytes, so it reaches the PLC as a plain digital value and needs no analog scaling. Two-, three- and four-wire sensors are wired to the M12 5-pin female connector; for the two-wire connection an external jumper is required, and the measurement accuracy may be reduced.
Communication runs over IO-Link V1.1 in Class A mode on an M12 A-coded 4-pin male port, with a minimum cycle time of 4000 µs. ISDU, data storage and block parameterisation are supported, so a replacement device can be parameterised automatically. The transparent housing with RUN and status LEDs shows the communication state at a glance.
The converter is used wherever temperatures are already measured with Pt100 sensors but should be made visible to an IO-Link system – in process and machine automation, in test benches, and when existing RTD instrumentation is to be retrofitted into a digital network.
