CIOL-1AO-SC IO-Link Converter
IO-Link analog output converter
Single channel 4–20 mA / 0–20 mA
IO-Link V1.1, Class A interface
≤12-bit resolution, 0.1 % FS accuracy
Max output load 500 Ω
Transparent housing with LED status
The CIOL-1AO-SC converts IO-Link process data into a single analog current output of 4–20 mA or 0–20 mA. It is the one-channel counterpart to the dual-channel CIOL-2AI-SC and is used where an IO-Link master has to drive a classic current loop actuator.
The output is set with up to 12-bit resolution and 0.1 % full-scale accuracy, and the value is transmitted as an unsigned 16-bit word in microamps, so 0–20 mA corresponds to 0–20000 and stays directly readable in the PLC. The output may be loaded with up to 500 Ω, which is enough for the usual 250 Ω measuring resistors in analog input cards.
Communication uses IO-Link V1.1 in Class A mode on an M12 A-coded 4-pin male port with a 2400 µs minimum cycle time. The current loop leaves through an M12 A-coded 4-pin female connector as a three-wire output, and an external supply of up to 500 mA can be taken from pins 1 and 3 to feed the loop. The transparent housing with RUN and OUT1 LEDs shows communication and output state.
Typical uses are controlling proportional valves, positioners and analog drive inputs from an IO-Link network, and replacing analog output cards where only a single setpoint channel is needed.
